Revitalizing APOLLO: A Journey of Strategic Marketing and Design Innovation

The Challenge: As a pioneering Insuretech start-up in Canada, APOLLO grappled with a myriad of marketing and design hurdles. The company was in need of a deeper understanding of their customers’ distinct needs and behaviors. Their website was outdated, their software platform had usability issues, and their brand identity lacked consistency and failed to connect with their audience. Moreover, they found it difficult to engage their audience across various platforms and to create compelling content for events.

Our Approach: To overcome these obstacles, we devised a strategy that encompassed a thorough understanding of their customers, a revamp of their website and proprietary software, and an omnichannel marketing approach. Our goal was to craft engaging and valuable content for their audience and refresh their brand to make it more appealing.

Execution: We developed detailed profiles of APOLLO’s ideal customers to better understand and cater to their needs. We overhauled their website and software platform to improve usability. We harnessed the power of social media, ads, videos, partnerships, and printed materials to reach their audience through various channels. We also hosted online events to engage their audience and disseminate useful content. A crucial aspect of our execution was the rebranding of APOLLO and the creation of guides and informative white papers to provide valuable information to their audience.

Impact: Our strategic initiatives led to significant improvements across various metrics. We observed an uptick in customer satisfaction, a reduction in website bounce rate, and an increase in session duration. Our omnichannel solutions led to an increase in reach, engagement, event attendance, and lead generation. The company rebrand enhanced brand favorability, and the production of informative content led to an increase in time spent on the website. Notably, our iterative approach to designing ads that simplified complex insurance topics into understandable and approachable on-brand creatives resulted in a 23% decrease in average CPC spend over a 3 month period. Overall, these efforts led to a substantial increase in brand awareness, demonstrating the effectiveness of our marketing and design strategies.

Overcoming Obstacles: APOLLO encountered several challenges during this transformation, including understanding their customers’ unique needs, enhancing their website and software usability, reaching their audience on different platforms, and creating engaging content. However, we successfully overcame these challenges through customer profiling, website and software updates, omnichannel marketing, online events, rebranding, and the creation of informative content.
