LJH Construction

LJH Construction | Brand Renovation

The Challenge: LJH Construction, a company specializing in residential and commercial construction and renovation services, was missing out on large-scale contracts. Despite having the skills, the accreditations, and a myriad of satisfied clients, their brand was like a house without a blueprint—functional but lacking character.

Our Approach: Our mission was to understand LJH’s audience: family-oriented homeowners, aged 35 to 50, with a household income of $120K+. With this knowledge, we were ready to build a brand that resonated with them.

Execution:

  • Concept: We translated LJH’s core values of integrity and precision into a visual language: blueprints. The elegance of architectural plans, etched in calm yet assertive blues, reflected LJH’s professional and meticulous nature.

  • Logo: We modernized LJH’s existing logo, which held sentimental value. Tapered lines evoked the aesthetic of building plans, and paired with adjusted letterforms, we struck a perfect balance. The result was a logo that encapsulated contemporary confidence.

  • Typography: Our font choices mirrored LJH’s no-frills ethos. We chose Bebas—bold, condensed, and industrial for headings. For body copy, we turned to Century Schoolbook—legible, timeless, and no-nonsense.

  • Simplicity & Style: Minimalism ruled our design. Thin, tapered lines echoed LJH’s precision, while occasional paper textures grounded us in the industry.

Impact: The rebranding elevated LJH Construction’s image, aligning it with the quality of their services. The new brand identity resonated with their target audience, positioning LJH as a serious contender. 1 year after the rebrand, LJH saw a massive 40% increase in overall revenue and they were happily working on the large-scale contracts they were aiming for.

Overcoming Obstacles: The biggest challenge was modernizing the logo while retaining its sentimental value. By incorporating elements of architectural plans into the design, we were able to create a logo that not only preserved its history but also represented LJH’s future.
