“Crafting Confidence Through Creativity” | GB Brand Management

The Challenge: GB Brand Management, a new brand consultancy, was a group of marketing mystics embarking on a new venture: transforming into solution architects for small businesses and entrepreneurs. The challenge was to create a brand identity that captured GB Brand Management’s mission and its unique ethos.

Approach: We decided to create a personal and dynamic brand that truly represented GB Brand Management. We wanted the brand to be as versatile and solution-oriented as the clients themselves. The branding needed to reflect the mission and unique methodology of the brand consultancy.

Execution: The execution of our strategy involved a blend of creativity, precision, and imagination.

  • Research: We incorporated the client’s deep understanding of emotional intelligence into the branding, emphasizing they way they acted as sages to truly engage with their clients’ needs.

  • Audience Profiling: We focused on entrepreneurs aged 40–60, profiling the consultancy’s target audience of small business owners and entrepreneurs.

  • Palette: We chose a rich purple to symbolize mysticism and imagination. This was paired with a timeless grey to help the brand exude a sense of timeless intellect. The combination strikes a balance between creativity and wisdom.

  • Typography: We used clean, sans-serif fonts combined with mystical runic glyphs that are unique, flexible, and full of personality.

  • Logo: We created a high-contrast logo with precise angles and space-conscious design. A deliberate resemblance to the runes in the typographic strategy unites the overall brand aesthetic.

  • Design: We used geometric symbols and a triangular color block in design applications to echo the precision of the logo. Conceptually, we drew inspiration from alchemists of old.

Impact: The result was a brand that not only captured GB Brand Management’s mission but also represented it’s approach. It resonated with its audience and helped it connect with them on a deeper level.

Overcoming Obstacles: The main obstacle was to create a brand that spoke to the emotional intelligence and deep empathy that the client embodied. We overcame this by carefully choosing each element of the brand; from the research to typography, each element not only represents GB Brand Management but also works harmoniously together to tell it’s timeless story.

You’ll notice that the project highlighted on this page is from an entity that has since ceased online operations. This project, though not recent, serves as a testament to my extensive experience, however, owing to confidentiality commitments tied to my latest roles and projects, I am unable to showcase specific examples in my portfolio. Rest assured, my skills and expertise have continually evolved and diversified. While this portfolio example is valuable, I believe that practical evaluations or discussions around hypothetical scenarios offer a more accurate gauge of my current abilities.
